JUST IN: 10 Dead, 7 Injured In Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Accident

No fewer than 10 people have been confirmed dead and seven others injured in a tragic accident involving a truck and a bus on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

The accident occurred at around 5:00 AM on Tuesday near the Kara turning on the expressway.

According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the accident was caused by speeding and the driver of the bus losing control, leading to a collision with the truck.

A total of 18 people were involved in the accident, with 10 confirmed deceased, seven injured, and one uninjured.

The injured victims were transported to Famobis Hospital in Mowe for medical attention, while the deceased were deposited at Idera Morgue in Sagamu.

The FRSC Sector Commander, Anthony Uga, expressed his grief over the incident and emphasized that it could have been avoided if the driver had taken necessary precautions.
