The number of casualty was yet to be confirmed as of the time of filing this report but there were speculations that about two deaths were recorded during the shootout.

A source confirmed heavy security presence currently in the area as motorists were subjected to stop and search.

Efforts to get police reaction failed as the Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Daniel Ndukwe, did not pick calls placed to his known phone number at press time.
