JUST-IN: Emir Of Zuru Sani Sami Dies At 82

The Emir of Zuru Emirate in Zuru local government area of Kebbi State, Major General Sani Sami, Gomo II (Rtd), is dead.

The General Manager of Kebbi Radio Service, Alhaji Muhammed Abba, who holds the title of Kakakin Zuru, confirmed to LEADERSHIP on Sunday that the emir died at the age of 82 on Saturday night at a London hospital after a brief illness.

The body of the late Emir will be conveyed from London to his hometown in Zuru on Sunday for burial as arrangements have commenced for his interment according to Islamic rites.

Kebbi State governor, Nasir Idris, who is in London to see the late monarch since last week, is expected to lead family members in conveying the Emir Sani Sami’s corpse back home.
