Tensions have reached a boiling point as large-scale protest erupted on Aminu Kano crescent in Wuse 2 district of Abuja.

Videos circulating on social media on Friday afternoon show massive crowds chanting and waving banners while heavily armed military personnel patrol the streets in an attempt to restore order.

Eyewitnesses report that the demonstrators were protesting in support of Palestinians in the Middle East and asking for justice. While the protests began peacefully, clashes reportedly broken out in some area.
