A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) , Samaila Leeman, has defected to the coalition African Democratic Congress (ADC), saying his people called him to contest Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency seat in Kaduna state.
In a statement issued by Leeman, the aspirant said he would contest under the ADC platform for quality representation and the massive distribution of constituency projects across the constituency in 2027.
Leeman said Chikun/Kajuru needed credible and competent person to bring the much needed development to the area.
The statement stated further stated that he will give the people the desired results, “Since my defection from the ruling APC, many notable individuals have called or visited me to encourage me to contest election in the 2027 general election cycle”
“It’s in view of this after a long hesitation that I began to consult with a few friends and pray about it. I’m pleased to inform you that two renowned politicians have stepped down their ambition to contest for this same office in order to support my aspiration” he said.
