The Kaduna State government says it will commence refunds to those who bought houses at Queen Amina College Kaduna, Alhuda-huda College Zaria and Government Commercial College, Zaria.

Governor Uba Sani had revoked previous sales of houses in the schools for overriding public interest.

The state government had said steps were being taken to refund money paid in respect of the sold houses as directed by Governor Sani.

A statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr AbdulKadir Mu’azu Meyere, told beneficiaries that their cheques would be ready for collection at the secretariat of the ‘Sale of Non-Essential Government Houses,’ Hassan Usman Katsina House, Kawo, next Monday upon presenting the necessary documents.

“Kaduna State government wishes to reiterate its commitment to make the atmosphere within and around schools conducive for learning, in its efforts to boost human capital development,” the statement said.
