A former senatorial aspirant in Kaduna State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Ibrahim Haliru, has pledged to donate his campaign team to the party’s governorship candidate in the state, Sen Uba Sani, for the 2023 general election.

Haliru, who contested the primary for Kaduna North senatorial district, which is currently a subject of litigation after Sen Suleimnan Abdul Kwari was declared the winner, urged indigenes of the state to support Sen Sani, saying he is best bet for continuity.

Speaking with journalists in Abuja yesterday, he said Sen Sani was chosen as the APC governorship flag bearer in Kaduna based on competence, just as he expressed firm belief that he would consolidate on the development strides of Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

He pledged to handover his campaign organisation to the governorship candidate, Urging the people of the state to give him the best support they can.

Haliru noted: “I strongly believe that Sen Sani was selected as APC governorship candidate in Kaduna based on competence, principles of continuity. Let me restate that his emergence is victory for the people of Kaduna State and victory for our party in particular.

“I implore all members of our great party in the state as well as other Kaduna citizens to begin mass mobilization for our governorship candidate as we step into the campaigns for the 2023 general election.

“We must not forget that a vote for Sen Sani’s governorship bid is total support for continuity of the infrastructural development, economic stability and social investment programmes of Governor Nasir El-Rufai. Again, we must join hands to ensure victory at the polls come 2023. The work to consolidate Governor El-Rufai’s giant strides in the state must be sustained until victory is secured.”
