Ahead of the 2027 general elections, Hon. Henry Marah, member representing Jaba Constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, has unveiled his legislative achievements and won the backing of APC stakeholders at a packed town hall in Kwoi, Jaba local government area.
The engagement, described by participants as a historic show of grassroots support, brought together political leaders, community heads and residents to review ongoing projects and discuss priority interventions in the constituency.
Marah, who chairs the House Committee on Information, NGOs and Development Partners, used the forum to present his legislative scorecard, highlighting motions he sponsored, including the revitalisation of the Kaduna State Water Board, aimed at improving access to potable water across the state.
He enumerated constituency achievements, including township roads in Kwoi, classroom blocks in Daddu, Fai and Chori wards, and renovation projects at Kurmin Kwara, Nkumdamgbu, and Sabon Gari Primary Schools.
“Additional schools are slated for construction and renovation in the 2026 state budget”.
The lawmaker also disclosed plans to install solar-powered boreholes in Idar and Kare communities, as well as convert Malam Maude Primary School into a School of Health Technology, providing vocational and health training opportunities for youths.
Highlighting employment initiatives, Marah said his interventions had facilitated jobs for 22 indigenes in various government agencies, while rural electrification projects in Nkumdamgbu and Ngarkoni and upgrades at Samban Community Secondary School remain ongoing.
He further revealed that the Nok-Chori road project had been approved in the 2026 budget and noted that a proposed Nok Museum is expected to boost tourism and stimulate economic activities in the area.
During an interactive session, ward representatives presented pressing community needs and expressed appreciation for Marah’s interventions, urging sustained collaboration with state authorities to ensure effective project implementation.
`1`Also, the chairman of Jaba local government area, Hon. Larai Sylvia Ishaku, commended both the lawmaker and the State government for ongoing development initiatives, promising continued support for policies aimed at improving the welfare of residents.
The meeting ended with a show of political solidarity, with supporters backing the APC at the state and national levels.
