His Royal Highness the Emir of Katsina Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman is set to confer the traditional title of Sarkin Dawaki Mai Tuta on a prominent son of the state, Engr Saddiq Musa Kaita.
A statement made available to newsmen signed by the emir said the event is billed to hold on Saturday 29th April, 2023. Kaita is the grandson of late Sarkin Fada Damale Kaita.
The statement said as a public servant the new Sarkin Dawaki Mai Tutan Katsina has achieved a lot in his chosen career and that it is hoped that he would impact humanity as a title holder.
It said Kaita is currently into integrated farming and generating a lot of employment for many people in the society.
The statement reads in part, “A polo match will be organised in his honour at the Katsina polo ground on Friday after which the turbaning ceremony will take place at the Katsina Emir’s Palace on Saturday.
“A traditional durbar ceremony is also expected to follow shortly after the turbaning ceremony.
“The new Sarkin Dawaki Mai Tuta which is the first of its kind in Katsina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.eng) from Bayero University (BUK) Kano and a Masters degree in Public Administration from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Kaduna.
“He is a fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Project Management of Nigeria, member Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE), member Council for Regulation of Engineering (MCOREN), and a project management professional (PMP) Certification (PMI-USA).”
