The National Legal Adviser of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Barrister Murtala Aliyu Kankia, has commended the party’s National Woman Leader, Dr. Mary Alile-Adele, and National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, for their commitment to grassroots mobilisation and party building, urging other party leaders to emulate their example.
In a statement issued, Kankia said the APC’s continued electoral success would depend on leaders who are willing to go beyond their official responsibilities and make personal sacrifices to strengthen the party’s structures across the country.
He noted that as Nigeria’s political landscape becomes increasingly competitive, the ruling party must rely on committed leaders prepared to invest their time, energy, resources and expertise in advancing its ideals.
Kankia singled out Dr. Alile-Adele for what he described as her exceptional grassroots mobilisation efforts, saying she has transformed the office of the National Woman Leader into an active platform for engaging women, youths and other critical stakeholders nationwide.
According to him, her commitment extends beyond her statutory responsibilities, as she has consistently deployed her personal resources, energy and intellectual capacity to promote the party without waiting for directives.
“Dr. Mary Alile-Adele has shown that effective leadership is built on sacrifice, commitment and consistent engagement with the people. Her dedication to strengthening the APC across the country is worthy of emulation,” he said.
The APC legal adviser also praised the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, for effectively defending the APC’s policies and programmes, describing him as one of the party’s strongest public communicators.
He said Morka has consistently articulated the party’s position on national issues and responded robustly to opposition criticisms, helping to reinforce public confidence in the APC.
“Likewise, Felix Morka has remained a steadfast defender of our policies and programmes. His commitment and professionalism have made him one of the party’s strongest voices and a reference point in political communication,” Kankia added.
He urged APC executives at the national, state and local government levels to embrace the same spirit of selfless service, stressing that political parties thrive when their leaders take personal responsibility for mobilising supporters and defending the party’s ideals.
Expressing confidence in the party’s future, Kankia said the commitment demonstrated by Alile-Adele and Morka would strengthen the APC’s internal cohesion and position it for greater electoral success.
He added that sustained grassroots mobilisation, effective communication and unwavering loyalty remain essential to consolidating the APC’s achievements and maintaining its leadership position in Nigeria’s political landscape.
