Kannywood Loses Veteran Actress, Saratu Daso

Kannywood actress Saratu Gidado Daso has died at the age of  56.

A source close to the Family said the deceased died on Tuesday while asleep.

According to the source, the deceased after taking her breakfast (Sahur) before the commencement of the day’s Ramadan Fast decided to go back to sleep but didn’t wake up until around 10.00 a.m when she was checked upon, it was discovered she passed on.

Daso has featured in many Kannywood movies for the past 18 years and has become popular among lovers of Hausa movies especially in the North where Hausa movies thrives.

She was buried on Tuesday evening after funeral prayers in Kano.
