The Kano state government has approved over N2 million in compensation for communities affected by the Kabuga to Dayi federal road project.

The state commissioner for Special Duties, Nasiru Garo, said the affected communities include those in the Ungoggo, Rimin Gado, Tofa, Kabo, and Gwarzo Local Government Areas, respectively.

While briefing affected community members, the commissioner said the initiative demonstrates the state government’s commitment to ensuring fair treatment and support for its citizens, particularly those affected by the development projects.

He said the compensation aims to provide relief and succour to the affected individuals and communities in the area.

“The governor has graciously approved and released over two billion naira for the compensation exercise to people from those five local government areas.
