Kano State House of Assembly (KNHA) has ratified the appointment of Dr Muhammad Nazifi Bichi to serve as a substantive commissioner and member of the state EXCO.

His confirmation was in view of the vacancy that existed with the sacking of a commissioner in the state by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

The nominee had scaled the House screening and was confirmed by the lawmakers to be appointed as a commissioner.

The Speaker, Hon. Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari said Bichi had met all the criteria and responded to the questions during the screening.

In the same vein, the House passed the Sa’adatu Rimi University of Education, Kumbotso Bill, Kano State Pension and Gratuity Bill and Kano State Traffic Amendment Bill.

The passage was sequel to the third reading of the bills by the clerk, Alhaji Garba Bako Gezawa, after deliberations in the Committee of the Whole House.
