The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced ₦7 million as the final fare for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage and maintained August 25, 2026, as the deadline for registration by intending pilgrims.

The Director-General of the Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, disclosed this in a statement issued by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman A. Dederi.

Matawalle urged prospective pilgrims who have yet to complete their registration processes to do so before the deadline, stressing that those who have not submitted their international passports should take immediate steps to comply with the requirement.

He warned that the Board would not extend the August 25 registration deadline, urging intending pilgrims and relevant stakeholders to adhere strictly to the directive to avoid any last-minute challenges.

According to him, the timely completion of registration formalities is essential for the Board to conclude the necessary arrangements for the pilgrimage.

“Any registered intending pilgrim who fails to submit his or her valid international passport on or before 25 August 2026 may not be allocated a Hajj seat,” he said.
