The Kano State Hisbah Board received a total of 12,446 complaints from members of the public across the State’s 44 local government areas between January and December 2025.
This was disclosed in the agency’s 2025 operational report released by the Deputy Commander of the Board, Dr. Mujahiddeen Aminuddeen.
According to the report, the Board successfully resolved 1,908 disputes during the year and carried out nine enforcement operations in different parts of the state.
It further revealed that 132 suspects were arrested in the course of the operations, while 93,231 men and women accessed or benefited from the services of the agency within the period under review.
The report also noted that the Hisbah Board handled 4,246 major cases in 2025, adding that funds generated from debt, penalties and compensation amounted to ₦145,406,409.00.
