According to the statement, both day and boarding schools are to observe the break and urged parents and guardians of boarding students to pick up their children early on the day as the holiday begins.

Boarding students were also directed to resume new academic session on Sunday, September 7, 2025, while day students will return on Monday, September 8, 2025.

Commissioner for Education in the state, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, called on parents and guardians to strictly adhere to the resumption dates, warning that late resumption by students may attract disciplinary measures.
