Kano Schools To Begin Third Term Holiday July 25

The Kano State Government has announced Friday, July 25, 2025 for all public and private primary and secondary schools across the state to begin their third term holiday.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Director of Public Enlightenment, Kano State Ministry of Education, Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru.

According to the statement, both day and boarding schools are to observe the break and urged parents and guardians of boarding students to pick up their children early on the day as the holiday begins.

Boarding students were also directed to resume new academic session on Sunday, September 7, 2025, while day students will return on Monday, September 8, 2025.

Commissioner for Education in the state, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, called on parents and guardians to strictly adhere to the resumption dates, warning that late resumption by students may attract disciplinary measures.
