Katsina Approves N16.7bn For Fertiliser

Katsina State government has approved the sum of N16.7 billion to purchase fertiliser for farmers across the state.
The commissioner for agriculture, Prof Ahmed Bakori disclosed this after the state executive council meeting held at the Government House Katsina.

He said agriculture and food security has been one of the critical agenda of the present administration under Governor Dikko Radda, noting that the 20 metric tonnes of the fertiliser components consist of 6,000 tonnes of urea, 8,000 tonnes of NPK 15-15, and NPK 10-10 respectively.

Similarly, the commissioner for works, housing and transport, Engr. Sani Ingawa revealed that the state executive council has approved N1 billion road construction project beginning from Galadunci down to the residence of late General Hassan Katsina.

He added that the sum of N6 billion was also approved to settle contractors engaged by the previous administration to complete the ongoing projects awarded by the last administration.
