Katsina Govt To Recruit 4,000 Medical Personnel, Teachers

Katsina State government has announced plans by his administration to recruit 2,000 medical personnel and 2,000 teachers as part of efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery and improve the quality of education across the state.

Governor DIkko Umaru Radda made the disclosure recently while supervising a verification exercise conducted by the committee handling a comprehensive staff audit in his office.

According to him, over 1,000 medical staff will soon receive their employment letters, while an additional 2,000 medical personnel will be recruited to address manpower shortages in hospitals and primary healthcare centres across Katsina State.

He explained that the ongoing recruitment drive is in line with his administration’s commitment to improving access to efficient and affordable healthcare services for residents of the state.

In the education sector, Governor Radda revealed that the state government also plans to employ about 2,000 teachers to fill vacancies created by retirements and other manpower gaps in public schools.

“This recruitment exercise is aimed at addressing manpower shortages in our schools and ensuring that every child in Katsina State has access to quality education,” the Governor said.

He added that the planned recruitments align with the administration’s broader agenda of enhancing public service delivery while creating employment opportunities for qualified professionals and youths in the state.

Governor Radda urged members of the verification and recruitment committees to discharge their duties with transparency, fairness, and professionalism to ensure a credible and merit-based process.

He also called on residents to support government initiatives, stressing that a well-staffed health and education sector remains critical to the overall development and socio-economic progress of Katsina State.

The Governor disclosed that the recruitment exercises are expected to commence in the coming weeks upon the completion of the ongoing verification process.
