In a quiet yet profoundly symbolic gathering in Abuja, all 18 members of the National Assembly from Katsina State, comprising both senators and members of the House of Representatives delivered a powerful message of unity and purpose; their unanimous endorsement of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda for a second term in 2027.
The meeting, devoid of the usual political theatrics, was a rare display of solidarity in a political landscape often marked by division and rivalry.
But on this occasion, party lines and individual ambitions gave way to a shared conviction: that the leadership of Governor Radda is worth preserving.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua (Katsina Central) praised Governor Radda as a leader whose humility, vision, and grassroots connection have redefined governance in the state.
Flanked by Senators Nasiru Sani Zangon Daura (Katsina North) and Mohammed Muntari Dandutse (Katsina South), Yar’Adua noted, “He hasn’t just governed. He’s connected with the people in a way that’s rare in our politics.”
The endorsement extended across all 15 federal constituencies in Katsina, with House members lending their voices in unified support. From Hon. Salisu Yusuf Majigiri (Mashi/Dutsi) and Hon. Sada Soli (Jibia/Kaita) to Hon.
Aminu Balele (Dutsin-Ma/Kurfi) and Hon. AB Dabai (Bakori/Danja), the message remained consistent: Governor Radda is delivering, and the people of Katsina are witnessing the difference.
Hon. Shehu Dalhatu Tafoki (Faskari/Kankara/Sabuwa) emphasised the Governor’s inclusive leadership style, stating, “What we’re seeing under this administration is not just projects; it’s a philosophy of inclusion and development that puts people first.”
His sentiments were echoed by Hon. Aminu Ibrahim Muhammad (Malumfashi/Kafur) and Hon. Aliyu Iliyasu Abubakar (Batsari/Safana/Danmusa), who highlighted progress in education, security, agriculture, and youth empowerment as hallmarks of Radda’s tenure.
The lawmakers’ endorsement was not merely a political gesture but a strong statement of continuity. It underscored a belief in the Governor’s ongoing reforms and a collective desire to sustain the momentum of development across the state.
Hon. Yusuf Ahmed Doro (Bindawa/Mani), Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu (Musawa/Matazu), and Hon. Sani Lawal (Zango/Baure) were among those who stressed that their support was not only for the Governor but for the shared vision they’ve advanced together at the national level one that aligns local aspirations with federal opportunities.
Perhaps most striking is the timing of the endorsement. With the 2027 elections still two years away, such an early and unanimous show of support reflects more than political alignment, it reveals deep confidence in Governor Radda’s leadership and the direction in which he is steering Katsina State.
As the state continues its path of transformation, the voice from Abuja is clear and unwavering: Governor Dikko Radda has not only kept his promises, he has earned the mandate to do even more. And for Katsina’s 18 federal lawmakers, this is not just about politics, it’s about a future worth building, together.
