Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Katsina State has launched its gubernatorial campaign ahead of the 2023 general election in Funtua town.

At the event yesterday, the governorship candidate, Senator Yakubu Lado Danmarke said he would restore peace in the state by tackling the lingering security challenges and boost socio-economic activities in the state.

He said every inhabitant of the state will attest to the rising insecurity under the All Progressives Congress (APC) which has caused hardship and difficulties in Katsina and the nation at large, hence the need for the people to vote PDP to power to correct the misrule of the current government.

Danmarke said the PDP has been the only unified platform for true patriotism, national unity and progress and promised that if voted to power, a few days after his swearing-in as governor of the state the people will sleep with their two eyes closed.

He said the turnout of people in the state showed that APC has less than 51 days to breathe her last breath, urging loyalists of the party to rise and work hard to guarantee victory.
