Katsina Poly Rector Vows To Restore Discipline, Boost Revenue

Rector, Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic, Katsina State, Dr Aminu  Doro, has vowed to restore discipline and boost the Internal Generated Revenue (IGR) of the school.

Doro recently took over leadership of the institution as rector on the 9th of May 2023.

He said discipline and enhancing revenue generation of the Polytechnic is part of his vision and mission to reduce over-dependence on the state government allocation.

In an exclusive interview with our correspondent, the head of the school also affirmed that he wants to explore his wide knowledge and experience in the system for over 37 years to take the school to greater heights.

He added that he will also expand the school programmes, strengthening the internet connectivity of the school among others

The rector added that he wants to see products from the school compete with any company, enhance the IGR, and improve staff enumeration to boost their morals; “The essence of polytechnic is to produce middle-class manpower, that is technician and technology as well as to undergo.”

While thanking Governor Masari for finding him worthy of the appointment, the rector also congratulated the incoming governor Dikko Radda, believing that he will be supportive of the education sector in the state.
