Katsina State governor, Dikko Radda has said that his administration is gradually transforming to the e-governance system.
He stated this at the official commissioning of the Katsina State Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (KATDICT) at the State Institute of Management and Technology, Katsina.
The governor expressed excitement for setting up the directorate, stressing that the Information Centre for Technology has been the only industry for the economic development and transformation of the state.
He added that the commissioned directorate would serve as the cyber control centre for all the ICT centres in the state to have proper coordination.
He reaffirmed that his administration wants to make sure that the state takes its rightful place in the nation by becoming ICT compliant in all ramifications for better and all-inclusive governance.
“Any ICT infrastructure and data will be controlled by this cyber here. We want to provide digital training because we want to transform to e-governance of the state. Gradually, we are going into that and we will make sure that we achieve that mandate,” he said.
Governor Radda urged young men and women including civil servants and staff in the state to take advantage of the directorate to build up their potentials and reduce redundancy in the state.
