The governor said the funds totaling N8.4 billion will be utilised to improve about 100 selected secondary schools in the state, adding that the funds will be disbursed to the School-Based Management Committees (SBMC) of the selected secondary schools across the state.

Governor Radda, in a statement issued by the state’s Commissioner for Information and Culture, Dr. Bala Salisu Zango, charged the SBMCs to properly utilise the funds for the purpose for which it was meant and cautioned against actions that can cause the State government to lose future opportunities.

Earlier in her address, the state’s Commissioner of Basic and Secondary Education, Hajiya Hadiza Abubakar Yar’adua, highlighted the commitment of the Radda administration in providing qualitative education to citizens of the state.
