Chairman of the publicity committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and national coordinator of Tinubu/ Shettima 2023, Alhaji Kabiru Sani Giant has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, to remove the Kebbi State returning officer for the governorship and state assembly elections, Prof Yusuf Saidu, for declaring the election inconclusive.
He made the call yesterday while addressing journalists in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State capital.

Sani Giant who accused the returning officer of bias for declaring the governorship election inconclusive, said the publicity committee of APC in the state was not comfortable with the continued stay of Saidu as the returning officer of the commission.
He said the returning officer should not be allowed to conduct the rescheduled supplementary governorship election for the state.

He asserted that the APC governorship candidate, Dr Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, had before the declaration of the election inconclusive, been leading with the highest number of casted votes.

The publicity committee chairman also called on the security agents in the state to investigate the wife of PDP governorship candidate and other members of the party for their alleged role in using fake materials during last governorship and state Assembly elections.
