Kebbi First Lady Inaugurates LG First Ladies As TB Champions

First Lady of Kebbi State, Hajiya Nasare Nasir Idris, has inaugurated local government area first ladies as Tuberculosis (TB) Champions as part of the steps to fight the disease at the grassroots.

The inauguration was performed by the governor’s wife during the celebration of World Tuberculosis Day, held in the state capital, Birnin Kebbi.According to her, the celebration also featured involved engaging the local government chairmen’s wives and securing their commitment to the fight against TB at the grassroots level.

She commended healthcare workers and development partners for their support and tireless commitment toward the fight against TB cases across the state.

Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated local government First Ladies, Hajiya Halira Tanimu Kangiwa commended the efforts of the First Lady of Kebbi State for giving them the opportunity to serve as Tuberculosis Champions at the local government level.
