Kebbi State government has secured the release of 30 people from the hands of bandits who were abducted in Danko-Wasagu local government area of the state.
This was made known yesterday to journalists in Birnin Kebbi, capital of Kebbi State by the chairman of the LGA, Hon Hussaini Aliyu Bena.
The chairman who expressed happiness over the development said people of Danko-Wasagu local government must appreciate the effort of the state government under the leadership of Governor Nasir Idris.
He added that the released victims were from Kontagora, Niger State, Damari, Kabba and Kajiji in Sokoto and Zamfara states respectively as well as Bena in Kebbi State.
The council boss also appreciated the efforts of brigade commander of the army in charge of Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara states for mobilising security team to secure freedom for the captives.
He noted that the victims have since been taken to general hospital for medical checkup before reuniting with their families.
