Kebbi Inaugurates Agency For Mining To Boost Revenue

The Kebbi State government has inaugurated the newly established Agency for Mining Development to regulate illegal mining and boost the state’s revenue generation.

Inaugurating the agency at Gesse area in Birnin Kebbi metropolis, governor Nasir Idris commended the director general of the agency, Abdullahi Buhari Warrah for his good work in place towards making the agency operational.

“I decided to appoint you as the pioneer DG to the agency because of your track record of experience and dedication in Mining activities in the state and also the expectations of your accountability and efficiency in the discharge of your responsibility” Idris said.

Governor Idris further said the move by his government to establish the agency for mining not only for generation of revenue but, also to restore sanity within the mining industry.

The new DG of the agency, Abdullahi Buhari Warrah expressed his gratitude to the governor for finding him worthy of emulation to head the agency.
