“Kebbi Is Safe For National Service,” Gov Idris Tells Corps Members

Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu has assured prospective corps members posted to the state that “Kebbi is safe for any corps member posted for national service.”

He stated this yesterday when he visited the NYSC orientation camp in Dakingari, headquarters of Dakingari local government area of the state.

Gov Idris added, “Don’t be scared whenever you’re posted to Kebbi State to serve your fatherland because Kebbi State is well-known for peace and for not only accepting guests but also living peacefully with one another.”

He advised the corps members posted to the state to feel free during their stay in Kebbi State.

Governor Idris, however, donated N20 million and three bulls to the corps members in the camp.

The state coordinator of NYSC, Bala Dabo, thanked the governor for the gesture, saying it was the first of its kind in the camp.

He said the state NYSC acknowledged the governor’s overwhelming contributions to the education sector.
