The 2025 President of JCI Ibadan Elite, Mrs Ibukun Otesile, who was abducted last Thursday in Ibadan, Oyo State, has regained her freedom.
This was confirmed by the President of the Child Protective Network (CPN), Dr Rosemary Odigbo.
Otesile was reportedly found in the early hours of Thursday, December 11, 2025, after being kidnapped outside her home located at the Akobo area of Ibadan, Oyo State.
A mother of two and daughter of Reverend Lekan Babatunde, the founder of Jesus Is King Ministries, Otesile was taken by gunmen on the evening of December 4, 2025.
The details surrounding her release, including the likely payment of ransom or the involvement of security agencies in the final recovery, were not yet fully known.
Her abduction had prompted appeals from the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and organisations to the state government and security forces for her safe return.
