The abductors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ward chairman in Ose local government area of Ondo State, Hon.Nelson Adepoyigi, have again abducted two individuals who reportedly took N5 million ransom and food items to them.

Adepoyigi’s abductors had earlier reduced their initial demand of N100 million to N5 million alongside food supplies for the release of the APC chieftain

While the two individuals, Bayode Loco and Isimeri, who were said to have taken the ransom and the food items to the abductors, were seized by the kidnappers, a fresh demand of N30 million was placed on them as ransom for their release.

According to a source, Adepoyigi and the two ransom bearers, Bayode Loco and Isimeri, are currently with their abductors, and they are now demanding N30 million for their release.

The source, who craved anonymity, said the latest incident has thrown the family and political associates of the abducted party chieftain into fresh panic.

He said, “Those who took the ransom to them, as agreed during negotiations, were held by the same kidnappers. They have now turned around to demand a fresh N30 million before they can release all three of them.”

Meanwhile, the chairman of Ose Local Government Area Council, Hon. Kolapo Oja, confirmed the earlier negotiation in an earlier interview, saying the ransom had been reduced to N5 million and demand for food items.

Oja expressed concern over the turn of events and appealed for calm while security efforts were being intensified.

Recall that the APC chieftain was kidnapped on Monday night around 10 pm. while attempting to park his car at his residence in Ifon.

A source informed LEADERSHIP that the assailants stormed the compound of the victim, pounced on him with sticks before whisking him away.

It was also gathered that his wife, who heard his cries for help, rushed out but found out that he had already been taken away by the hoodlums.
