Kogi State governor, Alhaji Yayaha Bello, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies over the peaceful conduct of the ongoing gubernatorial election in the state on Saturday morning.

Bello arrived his Agassa poling unit 11, Agassa Okeneba ward in Okene LGA at about 09.15 to cast his vote, accompanied by his three wives – First Lady Barrister Aminat Bello, Rashidat Bello and Hafisat Bello.

He expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election, adding that he has not heard of any negative report from any quarter.

Governor Bello, therefore, charged journalists to report verified reports and ignore rumours that might be circulated on the social media.
