The wife of Kogi State governor Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo has emphasised the importance of collective efforts in fostering development and unity in the state, particularly among women and vulnerable groups.
Mrs Ododo made the admonition during an anniversary dinner held at the Government House in Lokoja. The dinner was organised to honour women across the state and celebrate their contributions to societal growth.
She praised the transformative impact of various women-centred initiatives and described the event as a platform to reflect on achievements and inspire further progress. Highlighting the need for peace and harmony across tribal, religious, and social lines, she urged all citizens to work together to improve Kogi State.
She commended Senator Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Initiative, noting its transformative impact on millions of lives nationwide. Describing Senator Tinubu as a compassionate mother of the nation, Hajia Sefinat praised her dedication to improving the lives of women and young girls.
The first lady also expressed gratitude to her husband, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his unwavering support, which she credited as a key driver of her success. She reiterated her openness to partnerships that aim to uplift women and vulnerable groups in the state.
She thanked women and various groups across Kogi for their support and belief in her initiatives over the past year.
