Kogi State governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has approved the immediate removal of Hon. Hassan Atawodi as the Transition Chairman of Ofu Local Government Area.

In the same vein, Governor Ododo approved the appointment of Musa Muhammed Lawal as the new Transition Chairman of Ofu Local Government Area with immediate effect.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs Folashade Ayoade, on Monday in Lokoja.

The statement also directed Hassan Atawodi to submit all government property in his possession to the new Transition Chairman, including handing-over of all the affairs of the LGA to Lawal immediately.

The SSG added that the removal was in line with Governor Ododo’s zero tolerance to any form of corruption in his administration.
