Kwara APC Reconciliation Committee Receives 12 Petitions, Submits Report

The Peace and Reconciliation Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State said it received 12 complaints and petitions from the aggrieved stakeholders from Kwara Central and south senatorial districts.

The chairman of the committee, Hon. Alhassan Bagudu who disclosed this to newsmen in Ilorin, the state capital, however,  said the committee did not receive any petition from Kwara north senatorial district.

Bagudu said his committee has submitted its report to the chairman of APC in the state, Prince Sunday Fagbemi.

“The committee received a total of twelve complaints/petitions from aggrieved wards/LGAs and individuals in Kwara Central and Kwara South senatorial districts. No complaint/petition was received from Kwara North,” the chairman stated.

Noting that  conflicts among party members is normal in politics, Bagudu, however, added that,” the most important thing is how the party is able to explore its internal mechanism to resolve any impasse.”

The chairman explained that the committee did a thorough job as it went a step further by inviting all the aggrieved persons to make oral presentations on their petitions.

He disclosed that the committee recommended far-reaching resolutions to avert similar conflicts within the party in the future.

Bagudu praised the state governor,  AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the party’s chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi and the State Working Committee (SWC) of APC for the confidence they reposed in the members of the committee.
