The chief judge (CJ) of Kwara State, Justice Abiodun Adebara has set free three inmates of the Custodial Centres in Ilorin and Mandala.

Adebara after reviewing the case files of inmates at the Custodial Centresduring a routine visit to the facilities, released the three inmates.

The chief judge noted that the custodial centres in the state are overcrowded, adding that it falls within his constitutional rights to perform jail delivery which allows him to look into cases that have stayed long in court, inmates with terminal illness and minor offences which community service can take care of.

He promised to make visitation to the custodial centres for jail delivery a continuous exercise.
