Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has inaugurated six new judges for the state High Court.
The new judges are Ibijoke Olawoyin, Fatimah Abdulrasaq, Oluwatosin Adeniyi, Yusuf Adebayo, Olalekan Ajayi and Muritala Folohunsho.
At the inauguration ceremony held at the Government House, Ilorin, the governor urged the new judges to discharge their duties with diligence, impartiality and in the overriding interest of the community and national security.
AbdulRazaq congratulated them on their appointments and expressed confidence that they would remain committed to the administration of justice for all.
He described the development as another milestone as it was the first time six judges were sworn in at the same time in the state.
Joined by chief judge of the state, Justice Abiodun Adebara, the governor also presented new SUV cars to the new judges.
Justice Adebara, said the ceremony was a milestone in the state’s administration of justice, saying it injects ‘new minds, new perspectives, and new energy to the state judiciary’.
