The Kwara State governor , AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the installation of an additional 50KVA solar inverter to ensure uninterrupted service delivery in the maternity, accident, and emergency wards of Sobi Specialist Hospital, Ilorin.
The executive secretary of Kwara State Hospitals Management Board, Dr AbdulRaheem Malik said the solar inverter is presently being tested and will bring much relief to both staff and patients.
He added that plans are also in progress to light up the entire Sobi Hospital premises.
“Governor AbdulRazaq has also endorsed the provision of an alternative source of power supply in the form of solar inverter as recommended by the management of Kwara State Hospitals Management Board so that all government hospitals can have 24-hour uninterrupted power supply to deliver services to patients. Lafiagi, Kaiama, Patigi, Okuta, Ilesa-Baruba, Yashikira, and Sobi Specialist have been scheduled for installation. Our hosp in Igbaja, Lade, and Centre Igboro, Ilorin emergency units got it last year,” Malik stated.
