Kwara Police Commissioner Decorates 96 Newly Promoted Officers

The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Victor Olaiya, has formally decorated 96 newly promoted senior police officers with their new ranks.

In the exercise, one officer was promoted to the rank of assistant commissioner of police (ACP), 14 were promoted to chief superintendent of police (CSP), four were promoted to superintendent of police (SP), and 77 officers were promoted to deputy superintendent of Police (DSP).

The commissioner of Police, Victor Olaiya, said the elevation is a testament to the promoted officers’ hard work and dedication to duty.

He added that the development called for accountability and greater commitment to safeguarding public safety and security in the state.

Olaiya congratulated the newly decorated officers and reminded them that their promotions come with more expectations.

He urged them to enhance professionalism in combating crime and fostering positive community relations in line with international best practices.

Olaiya expressed his gratitude to the inspector general of police, Mr Kayode Egbetokun, and the chairman of the Police Service Commission, Hashimu Argungu, for making the welfare of policemen their top priority.
