Kwara Senator Pledges Support For Youth Empowerment

Senator representing Kwara central in the National Assembly, Saliu Mustapha, has reaffirmed his commitment to empowering and advancing young people in his constituency, Kwara State and Nigeria at large.

In a statement to commemorate the 2024 International Youth Day, Mustapha praised the resilience and achievements of Nigerian youths in various sectors.

He emphasised the crucial role the youths play in driving both national and global progress.
The lawmaker stressed the importance of youth leveraging opportunities in the digital economy to develop their skills and achieve self-sufficiency.

He also encouraged young people to harness their talents for positive impact, avoid detrimental activities and continue striving for excellence.

“As we celebrate youth across the world, I want to reiterate my commitment to uplifting young people in Kwara Central and Nigeria at large. I commend the resilience of Nigerian youths and recognise their accomplishments in various fields. Their significant contributions to national and global progress are greatly appreciated,” he said.

Mustapha tasked the youths to channel their knowledge and skills into ventures that can advance the country, saying “as part of the activities marking this year’s International Youth Day, my foundation, The Saliu Mustapha Foundation, is partnering with a digital media platform in Kwara, ShoPen Online, to organise a digital skills workshop from August 15th to 16th, 2024.
