Kwara United has apologised to their fans following the team’s early exit from the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Harmony Boys lost 1-0 to Ghana’s Asante Kotoko in the second leg of their preliminary round tie at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta, on Sunday.

Hubert Gyalu scored the decisive goal for the Porcupine Warriors in the 53rd minute.

Tunde Sanni’s side exited the competition 5-3 on aggregate.

The club’s chairman, Kumbi Titiloye, described the early exit as painful and regrettable.

“We apologise to our loyal fans and supporters for this unfortunate result. It was never our intention to crash out at this early stage,” Titiloye told the club’s media.
