Deputy national leader of the Labour Party, Comrade Ladi Liya, has said the large followership garnered by the party shows the impact the party has made in the country ahead of the 2023 election.
Liya made the declaration during the unveiling and presentation of certificate of return to the Kebbi State gubernatorial candidate of the party, Mr. Tase Paul Gembu at the party’s secretariat in Abuja.
“This party is completely different from other parties in the country, whether we like it or not. The Labour Party has made its impact in the country with the large turnout of supporters we see at rallies across the country, definitely we are going places,” she stated.
She expressed satisfaction with the choice of the candidate while urging the gubernatorial candidate to work hard to emerge victorious in the 2023 elections.
In his welcome address, the national secretary of the Labour Party, Umar Ibrahim, said the party is becoming a household name and prayed to God to give the party’s candidates victory at all levels in the polls come 2023.
Speaking after receiving the certificate of return, the Labour Party Kebbi State gubernatorial candidate, Gambo Tase Paul, promised to work towards making the state a better place, reiterating that the youths will not be left behind.
“Kebbi State is dominated by the old parties, but like my chairman has said we are going to change the paradigm and change the trajectory. We will ensure that we become a nation-state where there will be development,and the youth will be proud to call their own.”
He thanked the leadership of the Labour party for giving him the opportunity to serve, adding that the state will be a Labour State.
