The Ladies’ Golf Association of Nigeria (LGAN) is set to mark a new chapter with its inaugural kitty on Friday, 14th February, in Abuja. The event will officially welcome the new President and the 2025-2027 Executive Council.
The Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Golf Club, NAF Base, Airport Road, will host the occasion, signalling the commencement of activities under the new leadership.
Preceding the kitty, an onboarding retreat for LGAN leaders will take place on Thursday, 13th February, at the same venue, starting at 2 p.m.
LGAN President, Mrs. Lami Ahmed, highlighted that the programme signifies “unity, growth, and renewed commitment to women’s golf development nationwide.” She added, “This inaugural kitty represents a fresh chapter for LGAN, built on inclusiveness, professionalism, and a shared passion for the game.”
Mrs. Ahmed described the onboarding retreat as “strategic,” aimed at aligning leaders with the association’s vision for the upcoming 2025-2027 golfing season. She expressed her anticipation for the attendance of Engr. Andrew Yakubu, Chairman of the kitty event, and Special Guest of Honour, Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan.
“We are honoured to welcome our distinguished guests, LGAN leaders, players, and gentleman guest players to what promises to be a memorable celebration,” Mrs. Ahmed concluded.
