The Lagos State House of Assembly has reassured investors and business owners that the Assembly would not relent in making laws that would create a favourable business environment in order to attract investment to the state.

The Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, who stated this during a courtesy visit to him by members of Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, (LCCI) identified some of the landmark legislations passed to support entrepreneurs and attract investments to the state over the years to include Public Private Partnership, Employment Trust Fund, and Lagos State Lottery Laws.

He stated further that these laws were designed to support entrepreneurs, attract investors, and sustain Lagos’s position as the economic hub of the country despite Abuja being Federal Capital Territory.

“We have always been pro-business and pro-people, and our laws reflect this commitment. Lagos is strategically placed to be the leading light of Africa, geographically, economically and otherwise,” Obasa said.

Earlier, Engr. Kupoluyi, President of LCCI appreciated the Assembly’s initiatives and called for stronger collaboration between the legislature and the business community.

He urged the House to continue enacting policies that would ease business operations and foster economic growth in the state.
