Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has sent a delegation to the family of popular and fast rising street Hip Hop star Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba also known as Mohbad who died recently under controversial circumstances.
The delegation led by the deputy governor of Lagos State, Dr Obafemi Hamzat alongside the chief of staff to the governor, Mr Tayo Ayinde, commissioner for youth, Mr Mobolaji Ogunlende, commissioner for information, Mr Gbenga Omotoso, special adviser on tourism, Mr Idris Aregbe among others paid condolence visit to the mother of the deceased.
The deputy governor once again during the visit assured the family that Justice will be done on the matter, adding that the DSS will join the police for a thorough investigation.
The deputy governor also announced that the government will assist the family, adding that Mohbad’s child will be well taken care of.
The State government had noted that the developments that have followed the death of music star Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (aka MohBad) called for concern.
The government in a statement issued by Omotoso commiserated with his family and fans.
He said, “We feel the pains of losing such a talented and promising young man, who made a name for himself in a highly competitive industry. May the almighty grant his soul rest and comfort his bereaved family and fans.
“Following Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s directive, the Police in Lagos State have launched a major investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the young star. A 19-man police panel has been asked to unravel the mystery of the musician’s death.
“Further to this and to boost the investigation, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has invited the Department of State Services (DSS) to join the investigation and widen the dragnet with inter-agency collaboration and use of best in class technology to unearth the truth. “
