Lagos Govt To Include Wealth Creation Studies In School Curriculum

Lagos State government has expressed its readiness to introduce wealth-creation studies in both primary and secondary schools to eradicate  knowledge that fails to make a positive impact on society.

At the just-concluded Wealthgeneration Expo 2026, organised by Pyrex Consult, the state’s commissioner for Wealth Creation under the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, Hon. Akinyemi Bankole Ajigbotafe, emphasised the importance of educating Nigerians about wealth.

According to him, “Wealth generation and sustainability would be more realistically realised if  the children and young adults are involved from an early stage in life, which would make the state government include it among the primary and secondary schools to catch them young.”

Dwelling on the theme, Building Sustainable System, Structure and Model of Wealth, Honourable Foluke Osafile, pointed out that speaking to the future of Nigerians must begin with the inclusion of youth, whereby they would be tutored that wealth goes beyond physical cash, and this would make them become future builders of the country.

Participants, including the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Wealth Creation and Employment, Ambassador Tijani Saheed Oluwadare,  Commissioner for Youth and Social Development in Lagos State, Comrade Mobolaji Abubakre Ogunlende, the MD/CEO Worldclass Prime, Honourable Deji Owoyele, Youth and Community Development  Advocate, Comrade Rasheedat Anahi Yussuff, in a unanimous voice, agreed that there is a need to reorient Nigerians on the value of building a healthy society by treating wealth as an essential tool that would make them add value to other people for a better society.
