Chairman, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Alh Zikrulla Kunle Hassan, has, on behalf of the management and staff of the Commission, expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of a former Minister of Justice and founder of Crescent University, Abeokuta, on the passing away of the patriarch, Prince Abdul Jabar Bola Ajibola.
He described Ajibola’s death as not only a loss to his immediate family but to the people of Ogun state, the entire Muslim Umma and Nigeria as a whole, saying his death leaves a heartache no one can heal.
“As an Elder statesman, Jurist and a trail-blazer, his indelible mark will be very difficult to fill.
“The late judge of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) Hague, Netherlands, is not only my teacher but also a mentor and source of inspiration.
“His death leaves a heartache no one can heal. However, I take solace in the fact that those we love don’t go away. They walk beside us every day.
“His contribution to Islam and knowledge propagation will be forever remembered and missed. There are no words that can fully express my gratitude, but my prayer is that his soul finds peace and comfort in Aljanat,” Hassan said in a statement signed NAHCON deputy director of information and publicity,
Mousa Ubandawaki.
