Akwashiki (SDP), Chairman of the House Committee on Public Accounts, gave the commendation on Thursday in Lafia. He was speaking when he received his classmates from the 2021 Department of Estate Management, Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa.

He noted that Sule’s accomplishments span across all areas of the state. His achievements include the construction of flyovers in Lafia and Akwanga, roads, and the State Secretariat Complex.

According to him, the governor’s efforts also extend to civil servant welfare, as well as youth and women empowerment programmes. Akwashiki urged everyone to continue supporting and praying for Sule’s success.

Akwashiki also commended the Speaker of the 7th Assembly, Mr Danladi Jatau, for fostering good relations with other arms of government. He praised Jatau’s inclusive leadership within the Assembly.

He acknowledged Jatau’s leadership in helping the executive ensure significant development across the state. Akwashiki expressed gratitude to his classmates for their support and promised to continue representing his department and state positively.

Akwashiki reiterated his commitment to voicing the concerns of his people and protecting their interests. He emphasised that they must safeguard the rights and integrity of their voters and the state.

Earlier, the team leader, Mr Alpha Mma, congratulated Akwashiki on his appointment as Minority Whip of the House. He also praised the lawmaker’s efforts to improve power supply in the state.

Mma expressed pride in Akwashiki’s performance in the Assembly, highlighting his contributions to the state’s development.

The visit concluded with the presentation of an award for excellence, recognising Akwashiki’s leadership and advocacy for the voiceless. (NAN)
