The sister of the female prosecuting lawyer who was part of the team in charge of the custody battle case between Sophia Momodu and Davido has accused the musician of cyberbullying.
The sister alleged on social media that Davido gave the contact of the lawyer to his fans to stalk and bully her because of her role in the cross-examination session of the custody battle case of his daughter, Imade Adeleke.
Recall that last week, Davido and his baby mama, Sophia Momodu, were in court over joint custody of their daughter, and there was drama during cross-examination that made the afrobeats star lose his cool and lash out at the lawyer.
The musician has since left the custody legal battle as development showed that Davido may have resigned to fate.
Now, he was allegedly to have been involved in cyberbullying, an act that, if it is proved to be true, may put the musician in further legal troubles
The US-based sister of the lawyer whose name is not identified said, “You abused my sister in court just because she asked you to prove you are a fit father. You decided to abuse her in court. You are telling your fans to cyberbully my sister just because she’s a lawyer who defended your baby mama. You think you can use your power and money to bully her.
”You are an American, so am I. Be ready to face me in America. You need to stop harassing my sister and tell your fans too. I am giving you a last warning.” Alleged sister of Sophia Momodu’s lawyer has reacted to the online intimidation she is facing over the Davido’s custody case.”
She claimed that the singer shared her sister’s contact details online, leading to threats from some of his followers. She warned Davido to stop harassing her sister, adding that no form of assault would be tolerated against her.
The singer, who seemed pained by what transpired in the High Court in Lagos last week, explained that he never asked for full custody but sought joint custody. He later announced he had decided to drop the case and assured his daughter that she would grow up knowing he had fought for her. In 2024, Davido filed a lawsuit demanding joint custody of his daughter, but she denied him joint custody, citing the death of his son, among others, as reasons.
