LEADERSHIP Group Ltd will partner with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), on “conference on drug abuse, crime, and national development.”
This was confirmed in a letter of endorsement addressed to the senior vice chairman/editor-in-chief, LEADERSHIP Group Ltd, Azu Ishiekwene by the NDLEA dated May 10, 2023.
Part of the letter signed by the director, media and advocacy of the NDLEA, Femi Babafemi stated that “I write to convey the chairman/chief executive officer’s endorsement of your proposed “Conference On Drugs Abuse, Crime, And National Development.”
“We appreciate your effort towards the attainment of a drug-free society and note that the fight against drug abuse is onerous and demands collaboration from all stakeholders including the media.
“The agency is working hard to ensure that incidences of drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking are drastically reduced and/or eliminated in the country and therefore welcomes contributions from
well-meaning Nigerians and corporate organisations like yours towards achieving this goal.
“While assuring you of our willingness to partner with you for the success of the conference, please accept the assurances of our best wishes as we look forward to impactful sessions at the event.”
Recall that worried by the cases of drug abuse by youths across the country, LEADERSHIP Group Ltd had called for partnership with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency to provide effective media advocacy against the menace.
