An aide to the national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Mallam Abdulmalik Suleiman has urged immediate past governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje to leave Kwankwaso out of his present frustration occasioned by his (Ganduje’s) misrule.
Abdulmalik, in a statement yesterday, said the former governor’s threat to slap the former presidential hopeful if their paths crossed is irresponsible, disrespectful and an abuse of privilege.
He added that by making those reckless comments at the nation’s seat of power is disrespectful to the office and the person of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as well as Nigerians in general.
Abdulmalik said Ganduge’s behavior is an indication that the former governor is not in right frame of mind at this moment, saying he is behaving like a ‘Bull in China shop”.
“How do you describe a leader who stole Kano State blind and his is now crying saying he would have slapped his former boss? This is to me a tragic error that such a man once served as governor, this should never happen again.
“All over the world, leaders are expected to show leadership and clear examples of good conduct to the led. They must demonstrate good conduct at all times but the example of Ganduje is an exemption,” he said.
Mal. Abdulmalik said Sen. Kwankwaso is a good ambassador from Kano and the North, a patriotic nationalist, a decent politician who love the country and it’s growth and development, he said Sen Kwankwaso is one politician who always make himself available for Nigeria projects whenever call open.
He called on Ganduge to soberly reflect on his actions in government rather resorting to frustration on live television.
“As a Muslim, Ganduje should seat down with his grand children to reflect on whether he left a befitting state for his grandchildren to inherit. This he needs to do rather than looking for who to slap,” the statement concluded.
